Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 June 2026
Agreement
By downloading or using Business Receipt Scan ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the App Does
The app lets you capture receipts, automatically extract their details using AI, submit them as expense evidence within a workspace, and (for managers) review, reconcile, and export those receipts.
Not Financial, Tax, or Accounting Advice
The app is a tool for recording and organizing receipt information. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Extracted figures may contain errors and must be verified by you before being relied upon. You are responsible for the accuracy of your own books and tax filings.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to use the app for your organization's expense workflow.
Your Responsibilities
- Only submit receipts you are authorized to submit, and review parsed fields for accuracy before submitting.
- Keep your invite codes and device secure. Workspace access is tied to your device's stored token.
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or sensitive personal content unrelated to legitimate expense evidence.
- Managers are responsible for who they invite and for handling their team's receipt data appropriately.
AI Accuracy and Limitations
Receipt parsing uses AI and may misread amounts, dates, merchants, or other fields, especially on low-quality, damaged, or unusual receipts. The app surfaces a confidence indicator and warnings to help, but the final responsibility for accuracy rests with you.
Acceptable Use
Do not abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service. We apply rate limits and may suspend access for abnormal or abusive activity.
Data
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Receipt evidence is retained until deleted by an authorized manager or the submitting team member.
Service Availability
The app and its processing service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and processing may occasionally be unavailable.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from reliance on extracted data, service interruptions, or data loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
